Here is the birthday girl in her mermaid tail that all the girls got. She actally wore her mermaid costume from Halloween for the rest of the party.
First things first: All kids must dress the part. Little Tikes pirate costumes for the boys and mermaid tails for the girls. Momma made the tails from fabric and toule (sp?) we picked out.
Next it is craft time! Girls made tiaras and boys colored pirate masks - all from AC Moore (I think)!
We had two games and a treasure box for everyone! Momma was in charge of the treasure box and Gary was in charge of our games: Pin the Tail on the Mermaid and Pirate Ship Ring Toss.
My girl loves to dance, so we did the Limbo and then did the Chicken Dance, Hokey Pokey and a couple more from Dora'a Party CD (a GREAT kids' party CD even if you don't like Dora)! We had to buy the Limbo from Amazon. It is not included on the Dora CD. I love these pics because you can see the pure joy on Caedyn's face. She LOVES to have fun and has fun everywhere she goes!

For the 2nd year we have asked guests to bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots rather than a gift for Caedyn. Mr. Dave from my dad's work was able to come and collect the gifts this year.

After the party, Caedyn opened her gifts from us and her aunts and grandparents. A couple of other people left gifts for her too.
She got a bunch of Fancy Nancy stuff from Amy, Adam, Taylor, and Kendall.

Grandma and P-Pop gave her this puppy that she named Princess.
Ann and David gave her this super-cute dress that she begs to wear everywhere! In fact she is planning to wear it to VBS tonight!
She got a Beauty and the Beast DVD from CiCi and Popsey along with some padding for that savings account. Dara and Cassidy gave her Strawberry Shortcake and a friend - the purple one! I forgot what Eli gave Miss Caedybug. And she got some other cards and cash for her savings account.
